a year in review...through my blog's eyes.

So last week I was in search of a fun year-end linky and I came across this one on my friend Megan's blog. The 2012 Year In Review Link Up . Hosted by the lovely Brooke at Covered in Grace .

But I wanted something different than the usual "favorite moments" or the "what can I do better in the new year?" stuff. And this one is exactly that. Objective: If you've been blogging for all or most of 2012, you choose one post from each month that you love.
That means something to you. Or that's just plain hilarious.

Pretty neat concept, right?
And since I've actually been out here in the big bad blog world since February , I'MA DO THIS!
{That's my pathetic gansta voice for all you to laugh at.}

Now I have to warn you...I really didn't "get" the whole blogging thing until August. So those first few months, they might be a little rough around the edges. But hey...that's what makes it fun to look back on old posts! See how much you've grown as a blogger and as a person.

Have fun reading through my days of only having 10 followers! :)

February // Mastering the Facial Expressions
Baby girl was SO little here! It's hard to remember her at only 4 1/2 months old!

March // Cherry Blossoms
I love this post because it reminds me of spring. And how I used to just sit back and write up a short and sweet, simple post. Need to get back to doing that.

April // First Weekend at the Pet Sitter's
Looking back through this month's posts, there actually were quite a few good ones. Feel free to read Sunny Morning and Spring Cleaning , too! But this one takes the cake, as it's funny for me to think of ever being nervous about dropping our little puppy boy off at Mona's. I mean...of course I was then, because he had never stayed over with someone we really didn't know. Now, Dallas practically jumps into the car when I tell him he's sleeping over at Grandma Mona's. She's awesome, and he LOVES it there.

May // Baby's Getting Smart!
This was one of my first "proud mama" moments, watching the nugget play peek-a-boo for the first time. And lo and behold, we actually caught it on camera!
I think you'll also like this sweet Mother's Day gift S and I made for my mom and my mother-in-law.

June // My Summer Loves
This just makes me happy. Because I love everything about summer. The beach. Sundresses. Flip-flops. Babies in sunglasses. I mean really...babies in sunglasses.

July // Bethany Beach Parts 1 & 2
These posts definitely stole the show this month. I just love looking back through all the photos!
Oh...and baby girl's plastic pool adventure . Couldn't resist.

August // God is Always Good
The most terrifying day {so far} of my life as a mommy...baby girl's trip to the ER.

September // Just a Weekend at the Cabin
There's actually a bunch of posts that I love from this month. It was hard to choose! But I went for our first trip to my parents' cabin. It was just so peaceful there. Sans the ATVs and range shooting...
This is also the month I finally joined the iPhone world . LOL.

October // What if There's a Bigger Picture?
Outside of blogging, this was my favorite month! Baby girl turned one and I was reunited with my love for pumpkin spice lattes.
This post won hands down. October was the first month when I realized that my priorities for this blog {and for life} had become a bit skewed. Actually, a lot skewed. I needed to get back on track and that started this day. I'm still not quite there, but every day I'm working towards being better.

November // 30 Days of Thankful
I absolutely LOVED doing this challenge via Instagram! It was so humbling {and fun} to think of something each day that I was thankful for. And to share them all with you! I enjoyed it so much that I'm now keeping a daily Gratitude Journal on my phone.
{If you have an iPhone, the app is Gratitude Journal.}

December // Santa is Scary!
I HAD to choose this post for December! Besides being one of my most-viewed posts, it also brought in 35 lovely comments from you wonderful readers. Thank you! The little nugget's expressions in these photos are absolutely priceless.
Again this month had a TON of great posts...I think because I was finally getting back into my love of writing. But the runner up would be my Cans For Comments totals post . It still makes me smile!

  5. Oh! That face of her sitting with Santa!! Its so sad, its cute, its so cute its sad. Makes me want to laugh and cry for her at the same time. Adorable! I could never give up the coffee even when I was nursing, but I limited it to two cups a day. I gave it up completely while pregnant but pumpkin spice lattes, YES! Love them.
