It's here!
Didn't know if I was going to get around to writing this up for today, but it happened. I had to sacrifice a bit of rest to do so, but I think this nasty cold is finally on the way out.
Plus, I'm just too excited to bring you this linky party! So posting on the very first day of the new year was kinda mandatory. If you read my blog post
HERE
, I mentioned that I was tired of my horrible procrastinating ways and I wanted to change that in 2013. So the
Lose the Procrastination
idea was born...it's sort of like a New Year's Resolutions link up, but with a bit of spice added in.
I love lists.
Love checking things off lists. Yet my biggest nemesis is...not checking them off in the allotted time frame. A big. fat. fail.
Sooo...In no particular order, here's my list of things for the new year that I need to stop talking about and just DO already!
----------
1.
Be a better wife and mother. Get down on the floor and play with baby girl. Teach her things now that she's getting older. Take her places. Surprise the hubs every now and then.
2.
Be a better person. Remember that
awesome quote
I shared with you loves? I want to do one of the things mentioned in those lines each week. Helping and giving to others should not just be reserved for the holiday season.
3.
Get back to the basics of blogging, but still expand my horizons. I need to cut the crap on thinking I
must
join every giveaway and sponsored post and link up to every blog hop under the bloggy sun. Do this for me and for my readers.
4.
Give my blog a face lift. I can feel some new inspiration coming on...
5.
Open up my online shop once again. Give it another go with Storenvy this time. For those of you that don't know, I make and sell headbands, hair clips, and hair bows for babies and little girls. I tried going the Etsy route, but that was a bust. I currently take local orders and orders from friends, but I
really
want to get the shop back up and running to share with you all.
6.
Learn how to communicate better with the hubs. He talks too much, and I don't talk enough. It can get crazy sometimes! I really just need to suck it up and tell him how I'm feeling or what I want to do. It'll save us a lot of dumb fights. And we'll both be happier.
7.
Build up our savings account! We've been doing pretty well lately with the budget ever since I started to coupon and now that we're done paying off the little nugget being born. But I want to do even better.
8.
Get on the "doing" train towards making little girl a big sister. She
adores
other babies and kids. I wasn't sure that I was ready a month ago, but I am now. 2013 has a good feeling :)
9.
Continue to find ways to make our family extra money. Whether that be through couponing, selling my hair bows, or opportunities that arise through blogging. I absolutely love that I get to be a stay-at-home mama, but sometimes I feel like I should contribute to our income too.
I know, I know, I take care of the little, and that job in itself is tough, but I'd like to do more. Kinda like I'm showing the hubs how much him working his butt off means to me and to our family.
10.
UNPLUG when I'm supposed to be spending time with family or friends!
11.
Get more involved with our church and find more ways to give back in general. To our local community
and
to the blogging community. Because sometimes people shouldn't be overlooked. And because you guys are just too amazing :)
12.
Continue to grow the fabulous friendships I've made this year through this blog. It's funny how I only got into blogging on a whim and now I can't imagine life without it. I believe that God leads us to certain people for a reason.
Lanaya, Daydreaming Realist, Leslie, Megan, Dawn, Janine, Sara, Terri.
And my sweet friends on
Lady Bloggers
.
I'm SO grateful for you loves.
13.
Time management takes the cake. I really want to learn how to maximize my time while minimizing the time it takes to do certain things.
